Postal Wiki is operated by JianyueLab Ltd.

Public contributions and page history

Postal Wiki is based on MediaWiki. This means that many actions are recorded publicly or semi-publicly.

When you make a public edit, your username or IP address, the edit time, the changed content and the edit summary may be visible in page histories, recent changes, logs, watchlists and other wiki interfaces.

Deleting text from the current version of a page does not necessarily remove it from the page history. Some deleted or hidden revisions may remain accessible to administrators or other authorised users.

We may hide or suppress revisions in appropriate cases, for example where they contain private personal data, serious harassment, unlawful material, security-sensitive information or other content that should not remain publicly visible.

User pages and personal information published by users

Users may create user pages and user talk pages. These pages are public unless the website configuration states otherwise.

If you place personal information on your user page or elsewhere on Postal Wiki, this may be treated as publicly available content. However, you may still ask us to remove or hide personal data about you.

Requests will be considered under applicable law, this Privacy Policy and site policies. We may remove the current text, hide historical revisions or take other reasonable steps where appropriate.

We cannot guarantee removal from third-party search engines, archives, mirrors, screenshots or copies made by other users.

10. How long we keep personal data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Backups may contain personal data that has been deleted from the live website until the relevant backup is overwritten or expires. We will not normally restore deleted personal data from backup except where necessary for disaster recovery, legal compliance or security reasons.

• the right to rectification of inaccurate personal data;
• the right to erasure in certain circumstances;

Requests to remove personal information from wiki pages

If you have published personal data about yourself on Postal Wiki and want it removed, you may:

You should not publish private addresses, phone numbers, private email addresses, identification documents, financial information, medical information, personal disputes or other sensitive information about another person.

Postal Wiki is not intended for children under the age of 13.
